Lipno area

The Lipno area is located in the surroundings of the Lipno Dam in the southwestern part of South Bohemia. The Dam is 44 km long and forms part of the protected Šumava mountains.

Nowadays, it is the largest recreation area in South Bohemia because of its beautiful nature and various leisure activities. In summer tourists come to this area to relax on the Lipno beaches, to go fishing, rollerblading, cycling, windsurfing, to enjoy the bob-sleigh, the rope-park or in winter they come because of skiing or ice-skating on the Lipno dam. In the surroundings you can also find many activities for children, cafés, shops or restaurants.
